Site Data Sheet: privacy policy

Effective October 8, 2026.

What the extension sends, and where

When you look up a location, Site Data Sheet sends that address or latitude/longitude to the public U.S. government data services needed to build the sheet: FEMA (hazards.fema.gov), USGS (epqs.nationalmap.gov, hydro.nationalmap.gov), NOAA (hdsc.nws.noaa.gov), USDA NRCS (sdmdataaccess.sc.egov.usda.gov), USFWS (fwsprimary.wim.usgs.gov), the U.S. Census Bureau (geocoding.geo.census.gov), and, as a backup for the USGS watershed layer, Esri's public copy of that dataset (services.arcgis.com). Those agencies receive the request the same way they would if you used their websites.

The extension does not send your lookups, browsing history or any other data to its developer or to any analytics, advertising or tracking service.

What stays on your computer

Your recent lookups (up to 50) and your plan status are kept in your browser's extension storage. Uninstalling the extension deletes them.

Tabs

When you open the toolbar popup, the extension reads the address of the current tab once to see whether it is a map link with coordinates, so it can offer "Use this map". It does not read page contents and does not run on websites in the background.

Payments

The optional Pro upgrade is processed by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) and Stripe. They receive your email address and payment details under their own privacy policies. The developer never sees your card number.

Selling or sharing data

No data is sold, transferred to third parties for unrelated purposes, or used to decide creditworthiness or for lending.
