CheapVPN: privacy policy

Effective November 6, 2026.

What the developer collects

Nothing. CheapVPN has no analytics, no telemetry and no proxy servers of its own, and the developer does not receive your browsing activity or your settings.

What is stored in your browser

Your server addresses, optional proxy usernames and passwords, bypass list, site rules and health-check results are saved in your browser's local extension storage so the extension remembers them. They are not encrypted by CheapVPN and are not sent to the developer. Uninstalling the extension deletes them.

Your proxy server

When CheapVPN is on, your browser traffic goes to the proxy server you configured. That server's operator can see your traffic in the same way your normal internet provider could, so only use servers you trust. Your proxy username and password are sent only to the proxy that asks for them.

Network use by the extension

Payments

The optional Pro upgrade is processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. They receive your email address and payment details under their own privacy policies. The developer never sees your card number.

Selling or sharing data

No data is sold, shared with third parties for advertising or analytics, or used for credit or lending decisions.
